The Aplab DC UPS consists of a thyristor controlled battery charger, a battery bank and variable voltage regulator. Under normal condition, battery is under float charge and a well-regulated clean output voltage is fed to the load. In the event of mains failure, the battery directly feeds power to the load without any break. When the mains returns battery starts charging in CC mode till it reaches 2.4Volts/cell and then goes in CV mode till battery gets fully charged. The load voltage is kept constant by the variable voltage regulator. |
The system is fully protected against large Input Voltage variations and Overload/Short circuit at the Output. |
