Aplab Bagged Prestigious Maharashtra IT Award 2008

The Government of Maharashtra has conferred the prestigious Maharashtra IT Award 2008 in the Category IT (R&D) INNOVATION on Aplab Limited, an Indian leader in High Technology Information Systems and Solutions, for its outstanding contribution in Bank and Retail Automation and Smart Card Applications.

Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh gave the Award to Mr. Nishith Deodhar, Executive Director of Aplab Limited, on 20th August 2008 at a ceremony in Mumbai.

In appreciation, Mr. Nishith Deodhar said, "We are honored to receive this prestigious award from the state government. Aplab's focus has always been to bring about IT product innovation to address problems facing rural India. Our low cost IT banking products are a direct out come of this. We are pleased that our efforts have been recognized and doubly pleased that our endeavour to make Maharashtra a hot bed for IT innovation has not gone unrecognized".
